Day 139 of 1,461 (or 2,922)

On the morning of March 30, the President called me at the FBI. He described the Russia investigation as “a cloud” that was impairing his ability to act on behalf of the country. He said he had nothing to do with Russia, had not been involved with hookers in Russia, and had always assumed he was being recorded when in Russia. He asked what we could do to “lift the cloud.” I responded that we were investigating the matter as quickly as we could, and that there would be great benefit, if we didn’t find anything, to our having done the work well. He agreed, but then re-emphasized the problems this was causing him.

  • To my great sorrow, many people on the left think the Democrats talk too much about Russia and not enough about how much Democrats suck and how great Bernie-sama would have been. Imagine hating Hillary so much that you’re willing to excuse treason.
  • I think Mitch McConnell is going to get it done with Trumpcare. This will be one of the biggest human disasters in history.
  • How many lives will the “pro-life” gang end, this time in Africa, before we stop calling them that? I remember “forced-birth” sounding pretty good.
  • “Two Weeks” Trump is me when I am completely over-committed and not yet willing to admit it. But at least I get something done.
  • Sexism is real. Sexism is everywhere. Sexism is a bog-standard Democratic woman losing to the worst man in America.

Interestingly, fewer Sanders primary voters than Clinton primary voters were “sexist,” according to the scale. But when the general election came around, a model that used the Modern Sexism score was “highly significant” in predicting the 25 percent of Sanders voters who did not swing to Clinton. Sanders voters who voted for Trump in the general election had higher mean Modern Sexism scores, followed by those who swung to Gary Johnson.

  • Karen Handel said, “I do not support a livable wage.” Well thanks. Vote Ossoff.
  • The fact that an ex-Goldman guy supports a 15$ minimum wage is a testament to how far we’ve come and the excellent work of Fight for 15$.
